Live Music Workshop Assignment - Community Arts Review of the show

The show took place on Thursday 12th March.

What worked well?

The show was a great success and the audience who came to watch really enjoyed the performance. The show was a success because all of the children were involved and everyone worked really hard to help put on a good show. During our first planning meeting we listed ideas that we could use when going into the school ideas such as activities we could run to help introduce ourselves for the first session and activities that would get all the children involved. This worked really well as we were prepared for the first session and everyone had an input in the planning process.

What could you have done better?

During the planning process there were a few issues regarding different opinions on what was best to do for the show, this was because some of the group felt it was going to be too hard to get the children playing individual instruments for the show because they felt there wasn’t enough time. As not everyone agreed it caused arguments within the group and I think we could have resolved the situations in a better way. I also think we could of thought about the planning process more by coming up with more ideas because we didn’t think of a backup plan and this caused disagreements within the group. However once we had all sat down and came up with a new idea to get the children to sing all the songs the show worked really well and everyone worked well together.
